Kung Pao Paneer
Kung Pao Paneer is an Indo-Chinese recipe. If you’re a paneer fan, then you’re surely going to love this combo. Kung Pao Paneer has a blend of Indian spices and Chinese flavors. Unlike, Chili Chicken, it doesn’t have too much soy sauce in it rather the flavor comes from the Indian spices added to it. The other twist to the recipe is adding crushed peanuts. Do try to use salted peanuts because it will add a unique flavor to this dish. Kung pao Paneer is a great street-food-style recipe for all the vegetarians out there. Ingredients of Kung Pao Paneer
- 250 gm chopped into cubes paneer
- 1 1/2 tablespoon corn flour
- 2 dry red chili
- 1 medium chopped capsicum (green pepper)
- 1 handful chopped spring onions
- 1/4 cup crushed peanuts
- gm salt
- water as required
- 1 1/2 tablespoon red chilli sauce
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1 medium thinly sliced onion
- 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- gm black pepper
Step 1
Coat the paneer with masala In a bowl, add paneer cubes along with chili powder, salt, pepper, and 1 tbsp cornflour. Mix everything well.
Step 2
Shallow fry paneer cubes Heat oil in a pan and then add paneer cubes. Shallow fry them till they turn golden brown in color. Once done, transfer them to an absorbent paper. Now, saute garlic on the same pan.
Step 3
Combine the rest ingredients Now, add onions and red chillies. Saute them until the onions turn translucent. Next, add capsicum. and saute it for 2 mins. Once done, add chili sauce, peanuts, soy sauce, and 1 tbsp cornflour (mix 1/2 tablespoon of cornflour in 1 tablespoon of water). Mix to combine everything well. Cook for 3 mins.
Step 4
Add the fried paneer cubes Finally, add fried paneer cubes along with salt. Mix everything well and cook for about 1-2 mins.
